The group stage of the Indian Premier League 2017 has culminated successfully after Rising Pune Supergiant confirmed their spot in the top 4 by beating Kings XI Punjab on Sunday. Steve Smith’s army not only made it to the playoffs but jumped massively to earn the 2nd spot on the points table. They have earned one more chance like Mumbai Indians to move to the final if lost the Qualifier 1.
On the other hand, table-topper Mumbai Indians would be lucky to play the Qualifier 1 on their home turf. Rohit Sharma & co. would like to win the battle and confirmed the place in the 2017 IPL final. Several changes in the side would be expected from Mumbai Indians as they played with their bench strengths in their last league match.
When: 16th May 2017
Where: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
What to expect: As usual, the pitch of Wankhede would favour the batters more in the 2nd innings because of the dew factor coming into play. So, the winner of the toss should not hesitate while opting to field first.
Pune might have won both the previous encounters against Mumbai but the hosts are still favourite according to the line-up.
