New Zealand finally turned things around after 13 years at Feroz Shah Kotla in the 2nd ODI against India, as Kiwis took a 6 run win despite setting a modest target of 243 runs.
On the slow wicket of Delhi, Dhoni opted to bowl first which proved to be beneficial for Kane Williamson as he scored a brilliant century while Latham scored run-a-ball 46 that helped Kiwis reach 242 runs. India, on the hand, started well with some good strikes from Rahane and Rohit but the duo couldn’t continue their decent start as they lost their wickets early in the innings. Later on, Dhoni and Jadhav put a good partnership on the board; but couldn’t capitalise on their steady start. In the end, Pandya gave his best, but his wicket in the 49th over ended all hopes for India.
The series is now levelled at 1-1 with the third game to be played at Mohali on 23rd October. Kane Williamson would surely be looking to take the lead in the 3rd ODI. Can Dhoni’s blue brigade give a tough challenge at Mohali?
